Utilities are the part of a move that is tedious rather than difficult, and the only real trap is timing. Stop a service too early and you hand over a house with no water for the final walk-through. Stop it too late and you pay for someone else’s first week. Around here the accounts usually are PG&E for gas and electricity, El Dorado Irrigation District for water, and El Dorado Disposal for refuse, with internet varying by street.
